High School Students Pay $1000 To Stop Hearing Justin Bieber’s “Baby” Song At School

In an effort to raise money to save a struggling cafe/arts center popular with Evanston Township High School students back in 2011, seniors Charlotte Runzel and Jesse Chatz convinced school administrators to let them play Justin Bieber’s “Baby” song daily over the loudspeaker during ever passing period.

The goal was to play the song until they raised the $1000 needed to keep the center going as noted by the Chicago Sun-Times.

As one can imagine, hearing the chorus, “And I was like baby, baby, baby, oh / Like baby, baby, baby, no / Like baby, baby, baby, oh / I thought you’d always been mine” repeatedly all day long might even annoy the biggest Bieber fans, so of course, the students complained.
