poems of my life

“Gone”   *

Gone is the anger, that kept us apart;

Gone is  the solitude, of an empty heart;

Gone is the darkness, that cloaked the light;

Gone is the loneliness, of a starless night.

We changed our perspective,

which allows us to see.

There’s a better way,

to live and be.

A new mindset,

can change regret.

Provide an outlet,

to help us forget,

Now, life can begin again.

We can breathe again.

And as we hold each other near,

we’ve nothing to fear…

anymore.

Brian Royce Faulkner

I stand in sunlight above the height below me, I do;
I sing its joy–all is mine–my life, my own,
That I have made, every day of it.
And when I think how much I love it I know
That I’m the meaning, all the reason
I will rise and keep on rising
As a man in love with life.

I see the lines here, that climb as gods to reach me, they do;
I feel their man-made love, too, their steel and glass
That I have laid—my own victory.
And when I dream of one beside me I see
That she will be as strong as I am,
Rising with her wond’rous power
As a girl in love with man.

I am a starbeam within the sun around me, a mind,
A thinking will that is free to judge and praise,
Accept and be a life-way of it.
And…

Tears disguise themselveseasily.Negligible salt—the water hardly brackish or unlivable.Current melodyhalf buried in the brain,incessant.A few bars hummable,those gaps cast shadows.The landscape (of) forgetting.
Navigate by the stars:salty pearls dangling from the tip of a forgottenmythology's nose, brutish. Treacherous currents,that melody half buried in the brain,a song forgotten.Your face a map of waterways,a history of drowning.

P-Doc Knows

Spring Breakers James Franco Ashley Benson Vanessa Hudgens 2A brand new poster for Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers has hit the web today.  The poster is certainly unlike anything else we have seen for promotion on the film as it contains significantly less female flesh than its predecessors.  The film centers upon four girls who will go to indescribable lengths to go on spring break and to keep their spring break party going.  Money, guns, brass knuckles, drugs, sunglasses, ski masks, and, of course, an iPhone.  Sounds like all of the necessities that co-eds need for a fun spring break, right?  Hit the jump to take a look at the new poster!
