Puppeteer Kevin Clash (AKA as Elmo) has retired from his duties at Sesame Street citing needing to focus on his personal issues. He released the following statement on Tuesday,
I am resigning from Sesame Workshop with a very heavy heart. I have loved every day of my 28 years working for this exceptional organization, Personal matters have diverted attention away from the important work Sesame Street is doing and I cannot allow it to go on any longer. I am deeply sorry to be leaving and am looking forward to resolving these personal matters privately. — Kevin Clash
This statements came quickly after a second accuser came forward saying that Clash engaged in a relationship with an underage boy. The accuser named in the lawsuit is Cecil Singleton claims that he met Clash on a gay phone chat line back in 1993.

Jackie Chan is set to throw his final karate chop on screen: The long-time action star has announced his retirement, effective at the end of his next movie.
Referencing Chinese Zodiac 2012, which will premiere next month in China, Chan told Reuters yesterday:
“I’m the director, I’m the writer, I’m the producer, I’m the action director, almost everything… This really, really is my baby.”
Chan went on to cite his age of 58 (“I’m not young any more”) and added that a lot of what made him so famous – i.e. the stunts and ridiculously impressive moves – can be done now with special effects.
“Why [do] I have to use my own life to still do these kind of things?” he said. “I just don’t want to risk my life to sit in a wheelchair, that’s all.”
Makes perfect sense to us.

ndeed, as Thanksgiving arrived in the U.S., Rihanna tweeted, “#Berlin #CarpeDiem.” When Us Weekly’s Ian Drew, who was among the journalists traveling with Rihanna via chartered 777 jet on the tour, asked Rihanna about her holiday plans, she replied with a smile that she was planning a “quiet” meal with “friends.”
She and Brown were photographed at Berlin’s Adagio nightclub following his show.
